Reduce your energy bills

Solar panel group buying scheme (Solar Together)

Councils in Norfolk have teamed with the independent bulk buying company, iChoosr, to set up Solar Together Norfolk.

Solar Together Norfolk gives you the opportunity to buy high quality solar panels in a simple process and at a competitive price. The more people that registered pre-auction, the more competitive the offer for each household would be. If you go ahead with installing panels you can then generate your own renewable energy.

Solar Together Norfolk latest update:

An auction took place on 22 August 2018 where approved solar suppliers submitted their lowest price for all those that registered. There is now a winning installer - EEC Ltd.

Post-auction registration

Solar Together Norfolk is still open for post-auction registrations. You can still register until Friday 19 October 2018 without any obligation. You will need to provide details about your roof such as its size and position.

Personalised offer

If you registered in August, from 10 September 2018 you will receive an offer by email. Your offer is based on the specifications of your roof. This includes costs of a complete high quality system and return on the investment of a solar panel installation.

You decide

The decision is yours as to whether you want to accept your offer. You are under no obligation. For those that registered, Norwich City Council will be hosting an information session on 12 October 2018 at 6 till 7 pm at The Forum in Norwich. You will receive an invitation via email. You will have until the 19 October 2018 to accept your offer.

If you accept the offer, the winning supplier will contact you to survey your roof. After you approve your survey report an installation date will be set. If you accept your August 2018 offer, all installs are planned to be completed by the end of March 2019.
