A new scheme, named 'Bin it to Win it' in which residents could win £50 vouchers just for recycling correctly is coming to Broadland soon.
The scheme, which is supported by Veolia, will offer two households per month the chance to win £50 of vouchers if every item in their recycling bin is correct and ready to be recycled. This means clean, dry, empty and loose - not inside a carrier bag or box.
Each month, two household recycling bins will be randomly selected to be in for a chance to win. We will announce the areas to be checked on this page, and on Twitter and Facebook, two weeks beforehand.
Residents will also receive reminders from the council that their bin could be chosen soon.

Terms and Conditions
Council staff will select a recycling bin in a selected area on the area’s usual recycling collection day.
Bins will only be eligible to be selected if they are out for collection by the correct time and at the agreed collection point.
The council reserves the right to select which areas of the district will be visited as part of this scheme and which bin will be selected for a chance to win.
The decision of whether all items are correct and ready to be recycled- clean, dry, empty, loose and recyclable - remains with the visiting member of council staff.
If the resident is at home during the visit, £50 of vouchers will be awarded at the time. If the resident is not at home, a letter will be given asking the resident to contact the council to arrange a convenient time to receive the vouchers.
Winning residents will be asked to give their consent to publicity for the scheme including their name and a photograph.
Residents must be 18 or over to receive the prize.
Employees of Broadland District Council are not eligible for the prize.
