To mark the fourth annual National Care Home Open Day on Friday 17 June, Green Lane View in St Michael’s Avenue, Aylsham is opening its doors to visitors who will be able to find out more about their Housing with Care Scheme. Visitors are welcome to drop in to Green Lane View from 10am to 12pm and 2pm to 4pm.
The Housing with Care Scheme provides residents aged 55 and over with added peace of mind while they continue to live independently. Green Lane View is designed for Broadland residents with both housing and care needs and allows people to do as much for themselves as they feel able to do supported by care provided by Norse Care.
As well as looking around the facilities, visitors to the open day will be able to meet representatives from Broadland District Council’s housing options team, the scheme manager and care staff from Norse Care, staff from Norfolk County Council’s adult social care team and Circle Housing Wherry.
The complex has 30 flats and 24 hour on site on-call care staff. All flats are fitted with a kitchen, lounge, bedroom and bathroom with level access showers as well as a warden call system.
Green Lane View also has a sensory garden, communal gardens, a hairdressing salon, a laundry room and a restaurant. Guests are also welcome to visit friends and family at Green Lane View with the scheme offering a guest room where visitors can stay.
Green Lane View is managed by Circle Housing Wherry and housing is allocated through Broadland District Council. Onsite care is provided by Norse Care.
Priority for housing at Green Lane View is given to residents of Aylsham and those with a strong connection to the area.
