Young people in the Broadland district needn’t be bored this Easter holiday and May half-term, thanks to the exciting programme of activities on offer at the Tots2Teens Club.
The Broadland Council-run holiday club offers a wide range of activities, including crafts, cookery and sports for children aged 5 -16 living or attending a school in the district.
Broadland District Councillor, Jo Copplestone said: “There’s something for everyone during the school holidays, from floristry to animation and musical theatre, to building robots and becoming a mechanic for the day. Download a brochure and give your child an opportunity to gain new skills, build their confidence and make new friends.”
For young people looking to get creative, there’s a huge amount on offer, including puppet making, floristry, cushion and tote bag making. They can also create their own animations, or can sing, dance and act during a musical theatre workshop.
Sporty types can enjoy horse riding, athletics, swimming, basketball, canoeing, kayaking and even have a go at scuba diving.
There’s plenty of outdoor fun to be had at Hautbois Activity Centre where young people have the chance to abseil down a 30ft tower, or they can build a Medieval catapult and use it to fire water balloons at X Adventure Outdoor Centre.
Families will be able to get up close to nature at Hickling Broad and explore the wildlife by boat and hunt for butterflies, caterpillars and spiders.
Members of the Tots2Teens Club can buy subsidised theatre tickets for performances at the Norwich Playhouse, including The Amazing Bubble Man and The Tiger Who Came to Tea.There are also discounted rates available at Norwich Puppet Theatre for Eggs on Legs and The Adventures of Bo Peep.
The Easter holidays run from 2-17 April and May half-term is from 26-29 May.
