Applications can be made to inspect Broadland's draft Statement of Accounts from June 1 to July 13. The following notice explains how.
Notice of Inspection: Audit of Accounts for the year ended 31 March 2018
Local Audit and Accountability Act 2014, sections 26 and 27 The Accounts & Audit Regulations 2015, sections 14, 15 and 21
Notice is hereby given that from 1 June 2018 until 13 July 2018 between 9.00am and 5.00pm each day (excluding Saturdays and Sundays), any persons interested may inspect and make copies of the draft Statement of Accounts for Broadland District Council for the financial year ended 31 March 2018, and of all related books, deeds, contracts, bills, vouchers and receipts (except where any part of any record or document contains information which is protected on the grounds of individual or commercial confidentiality).
During this period, the 2017/18 draft accounts and related documents will be available for inspection at the address given below or otherwise by arrangement.

During the same period, local government electors for the area to which the accounts relate may exercise their rights under sections 26 and 27 of the Local Audit and Accountability Act 2014 to question the authority’s external auditor on matters relating to, or to make objections to, the accounts. Questions should be sent in the first instance to the authority’s external auditor:

No objections may be made unless the auditor has previously received written notice of the proposed objections and its grounds. A copy of this notice must be sent to the Head of Finance & Revenue Services of Broadland District Council at the address above.
