Dementia and other memory problems can be isolating not only for those who are living with them but also for their family, friends and carers.
Broadland District Council’s Grow Your Community project, Reepham Town Council and Norfolk County Council have joined together to create a new Reepham Dementia Group.
The group invites anyone with memory problems and their carers to meet once a month at a local café to share stories, advice and support, and to meet others with similar experiences.
The first meeting of the group will be held on Monday 9 January at Kerri’s Farmhouse Pine in The Old Railway Station on Station Road from 12pm to 2pm.
The group will benefit from a quiet area in the cafe, reserved just for the group where they can enjoy drinks and a bite to eat whilst meeting with new friends.
Members of the group will also have the opportunity to receive information and hear from occasional guest speakers about other support which is available.
All are welcome to join to drop in to the group which will meet on the second Monday of every month at Kerri’s Farmhouse Pine.
