Maintenance of public open spaces

We maintain several amenity areas in Broadland. Dogs are welcome at most sites and open spaces, however please remember to clear up any dog mess.

Letting a dog foul a public space and not clearing it up is an offence.

Grass cutting

Grass verges are the responsibility of Norfolk County Council.

The mowing season normally runs from the second week in March to the end of October. Generally, most areas are cut fortnightly, however, the number of cuts undertaken varies according to the type of area to be cut and will also depend on the prevailing weather conditions.
