How the Council makes decisions

Some of the decision making takes place at meetings of the Council, Cabinet and other committees and panels and some by individual Councillors and officers under the Council's Scheme of Delegation (within Part 3 of the Constitution). The Council's Constitution explains how the Council makes decisions and who is responsible for them.

In February each year the Council agrees the timetable of meetings for the next municipal year (which runs from May to April).

Please note that meetings can change or be cancelled at short notice.
