Carrying out works on protected trees

Report unauthorised work on protected trees

Trees that are protected by a Tree Preservation Order, or that grow within a conservation area, require permission before tree surgery can be carried out on them.

If you suspect that works are being carried out without the correct permission, please call us in the first instance using the details below.  We can then attend the address as quickly as possible.

We will deal with the case confidentially and you can make a report anonymously.

We will need the address of the site and details of works being carried out.  A description of the tree will also be helpful.
