How to get rid of hazardous household waste (including paint)

Hazardous household waste should not be put in your bin.

Norfolk County Council hold annual amnesty days when they accept certain hazardous waste items for free. The date of the next amnesty day will be published here when it is announced.

Alternatively small amounts of left over paint can be left to dry in the tin, or can be turned out onto an old cloth to dry before being placed in your green rubbish bin.

Find out what you can take to your local recycling centre and what charges this may incur on the Norfolk County Council website recycling pages.
