Apply for planning permission

Before you apply

If you are not sure if you need planning permission, find out if you need to submit a planning application.

As various papers are necessary for different types of planning consent, first find out which documents you require.

We have produced a Design Guide which you may find useful.  We encourage you to consider the features which make Broadland special in the preparation of your design.

If you plan to make a change to a domestic property please read our guidance on how to apply for an extension, garage/outbuilding erection or other alteration to your property.

You can apply for planning permission either online via the Planning Portal or by printing paper forms and posting them to our offices. It helps us to process your application quickly and easily if you submit your application fully using only one method.
