Community planning for emergencies

When emergencies happen, people always rally round to help their friends and neighbours. Having a Community Resilience Plan in place can help to make sure that your community is well prepared.

A Community Resilience Plan simply says who needs to do what if an emergency happens. Your plan should identify the skills and resources each person has which might be useful.

At their very simplest they might just contain a list of contacts enabling people to quickly ring round each other to offer support in an emergency situation.
