Referendums

At a referendum everyone of voting age is asked to vote on a particular proposal.

The UK held a national referendum on 23 June 2016 on whether or not to remain a member of the European Union:

Neighbourhood Plan referendums are held by parish and town councils to ask their parishioners if they wish Broadland District Council to use the Neighbourhood Plan to help it decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area.  See more information on Neighbourhood Plans.
