Salary: from £7.38 per hour (25 hours per week)
Temporary contract for up to 12 weeks
Travel to various locations within the Broadland district or South Norfolk is required. You will work in pairs so travel can be shared.
This is an amazing opportunity to get involved with the work of a Local Authority and could lead to further opportunities within the Environmental Services field of work.
We are looking for a team of students to undertake some data collection work for us by venturing out into the Broadland district or South Norfolk to monitor recycling contamination rates and encourage waste awareness.
This is a short-term project for up to 12 weeks which should fit nicely with the University break.
This opportunity is unique! It provides a mix of working outside and in the office to help us improve the quality of our recycling.
If you are active and enjoy the outdoors plus you have a genuine interest in making a difference to how we deal with waste then we want to hear from you.
You will have excellent customer service skills as you will be required to undertake survey work e.g. with the councils waste collection service providers to improve/develop the service. You will also be required to communicate with customers face to face via door to door contact to help them to improve the recycling they dispose of and waste prevention.
You are required to work 25 hours per week, 5 hours per day Monday to Friday inclusive with some early starts and occasional early evening work with prior notice.
