Contaminated land sites

We are required to keep a public register of identified contaminated land sites.

The register will include a record of regulatory action taken by the Council on the determined sites, remediation work undertaken and a record of any sites which have been designated as a special site.

At this time no sites have been determined as Contaminated Land as defined in the Contaminated Land Regulations (2000). As a result there are no sites included in the public register.

You can read our Contaminated Land Strategy to find out what we do to prevent land from contamination.
