Items which are too big for your bin can be disposed of in a number of ways. If they are in good condition and working order please think about offering them for reuse to a local charity or organisation.
Some charities will even collect from your property for free:
- The British Heart Foundation
- Norfolk Homemakers
(a local charity that will collect unwanted furniture within a 12-mile radius of Norwich)
You can advertise items for sale online at various websites such as Amazon or eBay. You could also advertise locally using Gumtree or Freecycle. However if you do not wish to pass on the item, it can be disposed of at Norfolk County Council recycling centres. From 1 April 2018, there will be a charge for taking some items to the tip. Please read the County Council's details regarding these charges.
If none of these options are viable, you can book a bulky waste collection; please be aware there is a charge for this service.
