business grants - what's available
We aim to support our local economy as much as possible and know that it's not always easy to get the business funding you need.
The Business Support Team provide two grants to businesses in the Broadland district:
start-up grant
Is for applicants who are not currently working to start up their own full-time business in the Broadland area.
Is for £1000.
Is paid in two installments of £500. The first is paid on the start of the business; the second on the anniversary of this date (subject to the business still trading in the Broadland area).
Please note: all Start-Up Grants have been allocated for this financial year, however we are holding a reserves list in case places become available.
enterprise grant
Is for existing Broadland businesses employing less than 10 full-time employees or part-time equivalents.
Is available to fund a wide range of activities including the cost of specialised training courses, promotional activities or consultancy fees.
Means the Council will pay 50% of the costs to a maximum of £500.
Please note: all Enterprise Grants have been allocated for this financial year, however we are holding a reserves list in case places become available.
Don't forget, you can also use GRANTnet, a free service available to residents, partners and organisations in Broadland. Register online to search for various other funding options available to you and your business.
