local development framework
The Local Development Framework (LDF) will replace the Local Plan.
The aim is to make the planning process more effective by speeding up decisions, making policies easier to review and calling for greater community involvement in decision making.
The LDF will be made up of the following documents:
- Development Plan Documents - alongside the East of England Plan will form the Development Plan the primary consideration in the determination of planning applications
- Procedural Documents - set out timescales, document production processes and opportunities for community involvement etc.
- Supplementary Planning Documents - expand on or provide more detail to policies outlined in Development Plan documents
