The Development Management and Conservation department deals with a variety of applications including:

  • Planning permission
  • Listed building consent
  • Conservation area consent
  • Advertisement consent
  • Certificate of lawful use/development
  • Storage of hazardous substances consent
  • Demolition consent

You can now submit and pay for planning applications using the Planning Portal, which is the UK government's online planning service.

Planning Aid is part of the Royal Town Planning Institute who are a charity which provides free, impartial advice to members of the public on planning issues. You can contact them through the Planning Aid website.

A duty Planning Officer is available without appointment Monday to Friday 8.30am - 1pm offering informal advice, pre-application discussions or even the need to apply for planning permission.
