Are you thinking about leaving home? Worried about moving out for the first time?

There is a lot to consider when you think about starting out on your own, from furniture to finances. But the good news is, there is support available.

Broadland District Council, South Norfolk Council and Norfolk County Council have teamed up to produce the Young Person's Guide to Housing, which may help answer some of your questions.

further information

This guide, produced by YMCA Norfolk and Broadland District Council, is designed to give essential information and advice to young people considering leaving home - including busting some myths, like the one that councils will automatically house pregnant girls.

Reepham High School and College students helped with the guide.

Broadland District Council Leader, Simon Woodbridge, said: "We are proud to support such an important initiative. Some of the circumstances these young people face are extremely difficult. We hope this guide will at least answer some of the questions they may not otherwise think to ask before they take a life changing decision."
