recycling bins for broads boaters
Recycling bins have been installed at the following seven Broads landing stations to encourage boat owners and holidaymakers to recycle more of their rubbish:
- South Walsham Staithe car park, Fleet Lane, South Walsham
- Ranworth Staithe car park, Malthouse Broad (opposite the Malsters Pub)
- Upton Boat Dyke, Boat Dyke Road, Upton
- Salhouse Broad car park, Woodbastwick Road Salhouse
- The Ferry Inn, Ferry Road, Reedham
- Coltishall Common car park, Coltishall Common, Wroxham Road, Coltishall
- The former Pontiac Roadhouse, New Road, Halvergate
The aim is to increase the number of recycling sites around the Broads as well a increasing the variety of materials which can be collected. The bins are designed with special openings in the lid, designed to limit the placement of non-recyclable items.
