design award
The Council presents an award on a bi-annual basis in respect of a new building project within the Broadland district called the Broadland Design Award. The award scheme is not a competition but a way for the Council to encourage and recognise the special efforts which have taken place to raise the standard of design in the Broadland district.
Nominations are now closed but will open again in 2011.
winners of the 2009 award
This year the design award was split in to two categories Domestic and Commercial and Public. Winner of the Domestic category was 82a Taverham Road, Taverham. This is a new house which has been carefully planned to take advantage of its south-facing site while retaining the privacy of the occupants and neighbours. Justin Gardner House at Hellesdon Hospital won the commercial and public category with its environmentally friendly, secure and calming environment.

Any type of "new build" may be entered for the award eg, office, house(s), industrial building(s) etc, and there is no limit to the number of entries you may submit.
