Volunteers make a vital contribution to all aspects of community life.
As a volunteer you could do almost anything - there's something for all ages, skills and interest:
- Working with young people in cadet groups and playschemes
- Supporting the homeless
- Working with people who have no-one else to turn to in distress
- Staffing shops and restaurants in hospitals
- Digging people out of collapsed buildings
- Working alongside the Police
- Running Homewatch and other community schemes
- Potecting the environment
